A Heart of Stone

Love is in the air
on the beach; everywhere.
be still my fading heart
whilst I am handed fresh cares

through your eyes
I see the joy
of nature grand
cast asunder upon the sand.
Again, reminder wrought
that perfection lies not
upon bended knee,
but in whimsy sought.

how'st that I can beg,
plead for more
when nature's gifts
spread via children's lips

yea thou my ragged heart
doth question life's path on
occasion too numerous to writ
today a heart -not foregone

Presence,

presents

 never throw away
my love.

A day at the beach last week with inspiration and love handed to me by little hands.

  2. indeed :)
I was truly awe-struck by the gifts they kept running up to me with. Our late afternoon at the beach discoveries had me smiling all the way home.

  3. Ok, first I have to say...what a sweet and touching post. And that heart of stone is simply amazing! It's like a message from the Universe that you are truly LOVED!

    You're children are so beautiful.

"A day at the beach last week with inspiration and love handed to me by little hands."

Thank you for sharing, dear lady!

Hope you had a super day!

  4. It WAS amazing Ron! They were searching for rocks at the water's edge and kept bringing stones to show me. They both brought home a handful of the most precious of their finds, but I was instructed to take pictures of all the beauties that they discovered. The green beach glass was a special treat for T, but the hearts that kept popping up were a big sign that a smile should be playing across my lips and that maybe I was blessed and loved just a teensy bit by the fates...

  10. I really like this one. I, too, am a beach rock collector. I may pick up many and look at them, but few end up being taken home.

(That may sound like an allegory for something else, but it's not; it's really just about beach rocks)

  11. Charming piece. Seeing nature's little gifts though the eyes of your children is... well, eye-opening. Everything takes on a magical quality. And I love the simplicity of the photos.

  17. *It is almost embarrassing how many rocks we have at my house Eric. I love them as much, if not more than the kids do! People hate to help me move, as when the question "What's in this box? Rocks?" Is thrown out, I sheepishly have to admit YES!
