A Handful of Haikus

Grief
tears do not shatter
the reality awake
only smooth the edge
   ^^

Soul Jam
we offer sound
for ourselves and other souls
unaware of gifts
><

Deliverance
my hands have delivered
a small gift of sound
with tears

It is Wednesday.
Best day of the week to sit back and read poetry.
Check out the folks at One Shot
for their weekly Wednesday treat
and if it so tickles you
throw in some verse yourself

  2. @Claudia: Thanks Claudia. I wrote that one today, and the others a few weeks back. It was inspired by reflections with a friend today.

  4. @Dustus: Thanks Dustus. Music really is a powerful medium. It can transport us to old memories, fill us with enthusiasm and hype, or console us when we are feeling sad. I attend a drum circle and love the peace that it brings me. Thanks for stopping by.

  7. All interesting, but "Grief" is truly wonderful, my friend. I just got your chapbook-- thanks for including me. It was fascinating to read and follow you threads of connections between the poems.

  8. @Mairmusic: That is my favourite as well.

I am going to take it that means you liked it? I did try to weave a certain meaning and pattern into where I put everything. And thank you for allowing me to feature you there.

  13. I loved these. I think they all three work together in tandem, somehow; there's movement of sorts. Intended or not, they work!

@Talon: Thanks Talon. There is always some of me in here

@Kavita: I appreciate your thoughts Kavita. Grief felt the strongest to me as well, although Soul Jam is being well received too. Thanks for your thoughts on the flow between the poems.

  15. @kolembo: I love how each haiku speaks differently to individual readers. Thanks for stopping by.

@Dianne: Grief was written at a different time than the other two, but they do flow nice together. Even the titles draw you from one to the next. Thank you for pointing it out and offering your opinion.
