Give Me A Broom or Give Me Death!

Sleeping beauty lay,
glazed eyes barely
able to see
the growing grime.
Was this a fairytale ending -
Forever to drool
onto cheap throw pillows?

Bring on the Drugs!

Don't worry. No camels were actually harmed during this photo shoot. She was actually sleeping!

I haven't played the Sunday 160 in ages! The drugs must be working a smidge, as I am off the couch! Well, hoping to be for some of the rest of this beautiful long weekend. Have a great Sunday all and Salutations to you Monkey Man for being such a super host week after week!

  3. @Brian: But I was first! Oh, but I didn't provide a link though I guess, did I? Well, the drugs have helped, but they are not absolute miracle workers. I was able to supervise cleanup of my youngest's room this am though (which had needed serious cleaning for forever!), while my eldest vacuumed her room and mine. Plus she made lunch of a picnic, including putting out the blanket & putting up the umbrella! We spent the afternoon poolside (me under said umbrella).

  4. @Mama Zen: I am surprised by how well the antibiotics have actually worked! I still had a hard time getting out of bed this am, but aside from resting with a book this aft & not eating much, I did not nap and am feeling much better! Thank goodness for modern medicine, I say!

  8. @G-Man: Shall I bring it to the labour day party you are throwing this year when we are both recovered then G? I will bring you a whole 2-4 or maybe 28 if they've got a deal on! heehee.

(So can I blame my strep on you then? Can you really catch germs through this magic window to everyone's souls? Oh God, I think I need to buy more hand sanitizer!)

  10. @Alice Audrey: Well Alice, I am not usually so keen to jump to drugs, but they have worked wonders for me in this case. And thankfully have given me enough oomph to direct my children in cleaning up some of the grime that was growing around me.

Followed by some well-deserved rest time beside our little pool, so the kids could cool off after all the hard labour of course. ;^]
